Here is a sneak peak into my "100 Things That I Must Do In This Life" list that I've started and added to since the middle of high school. These have been labelled under headings such as Personal, Spiritual Growth, Personal Achievements, Social, Academic, Church, Work, Charity/Missions and Activities.
In the past year or so, I managed to complete a few of my long term goals however I sure did not expect to reach some of them so soon. I guess that God had His own way of doing things where His thoughts and ways were surely far greater than mine and will still continue to be as I look forward to the hope filled future that He has planned for me. I will state five goals here in sequence of completion.
- To put God and expanding His Kingdom as my top priority. √
- To Lead in Oxygen. √
- To only date a guy when it's right from all perspectives. √
- To Coach in Oxygen. √
- To get a distinction average for my Business (HR/Law) course. √
To continue on, 10 of my current/future goals are
- To love and serve God wholeheartedly.
- To find a job that I love.
- To go on a missions trip to Indonesia.
- To have a relationship with Al that is completely God centered.
- To buy my own house and then spend time making it into exactly what God wants.
- To travel to all of the 7 wonders of the world.
- To get involved in jail ministry.
- To open a youth centre/home/soup kitchen.
- To learn to speak a foreign language.
- To learn to keep a balance in life.
Hopefully, this post has got you thinking about your own goals for your life if you haven't thought about them recently and yes, feel free to share yours too! Happy goal setting!

If I can be so bold to suggest a change, given your achieved and future goals, maybe point no. 5 can read "To buy my own house and then spend time making it into exactly what God wants." :p
ReplyDeleteHehe, thanks Pete... and adjusted! When I wrote that goal a while back, all I thought about was how I was going to decorate it.=P
ReplyDeleteAwesome goals Jo!! :D Thanks for sharing! I too want to travel the seven wonders of the world but I’m always picturing myself doing it by boat, ha ha it’s not realistic at all. Ooo which foreign language? All of those are possible, keep at it and stay in the journey no matter what!! Go the distance!! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Annie and for the encouragement! Ooo.. then maybe we can go together sometime! Haha.. I would so come on the boat to avoid getting sick on the plane if it was a bit faster. =P Well Canto cos I already understand it (though it's a dialect but I really suck at speaking any sort of Chinese =P)or Indo. Al's tried teaching me some French too cos I'd forgotten the stuff in highschool..hehe.
ReplyDeleteAwesome goals! =)
ReplyDeleteThat would be cool!! Ah yeah, if it was faster and not me rowing the boat hahaha cos I always imagine myself doing so xD Cool Canto, well there's a start for everything but cos you understand it you'll be able to pick it up quickly I believe. Practice, practice, practice and you'll get better :) I'm in the same boat as you with my Viet. Ooo French!! That is in my list of languages I intend to learn 8D
ReplyDeleteHaha I wanna learn Canto too!! I want to be able to understand what my relatives are insulting me with when they say stuff in Canto to my face!! Also I think it will be good when it comes time to meet the relatives on the Zai front...=/
ReplyDeleteAwesome goals Jo!!=) Very inspiring=)
Wooo for language buddies.. maybe that will give me some more incentive to actually start learning properly!
ReplyDeleteAnne: Yeah, totally get ya.. get that in Msia but I pretend not to understand a word while they keep talking.. =P Many times it's about how we're Chinese so we need to know Chinese etc.
Thanks!
